BCS

NCAA college football currently has no playoff system, so if you lose just one game your chances to play for the national championship become near impossible. The current Division I college football system for determining which teams play for the national championship is the Bowl Championship Series or BCS. The BCS uses a computer system along with a few other polls to determine which two teams are the best in the nation, these teams than play in what is called the BCS National Championship game. The trouble with this system is it is not always one hundred percent correct on which two teams are the best especially since most every year there are multiple undefeated teams or teams that just think they are the best. What seems to be the logical thing to do is have a four week sixteen team playoff system starting immediately for next years college footballs season. The playoffs could start on December 18, 2010 and run through January 8, 2010 with the first three rounds games being played on Saturdays and then ending with the championship game on Monday January 8. It is time for the NCAA to incorporate a playoff system and just say NO to the BCS.
